Bruno Fernandes

Bruno Miguel Borges Fernandes (born 8 September 1994) is a Portuguese footballer who plays for Primeira Liga club Sporting CP and the Portugal national team as a midfielder. Fernandes started his career at Serie B side Novara Calcio and soon featured for Udinese and Sampdoria in Serie A.

In 2017, he signed with Sporting CP where he established himself as one of the best players in the Primeira Liga. He was named the LPFP Primeira Liga Player of the Year in both 2017–18 and 2018–19. In the latter season, he also helped Sporting win the Taça de Portugal. A senior international since 2017, Fernandes represented Portugal at the 2016 Summer Olympics and 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admits he has no intention of giving Manchester United ace Bruno Fernandes a rest.The Portugal international has been an almost ever present for United this season to help lead them to the top of the Premier League table.But the midfielder showed signs of being jaded during United's disappointing goalless draw at Liverpool last weekend.Fernandes produced one of his worst performances at Anfield since joining United 12 months ago and missed a great chance to win the game.But Solskjaer reckons there is no chance of Fernandes admitting he is struggling - and expects him to line up against Fulham at Craven Cottage on Wednesday.Solskjaer said: "His form is very good and he's just been voted player of the month."He's not.
