North Korea adds battery of loudspeakers to its propaganda war against the South

North Korea once had as many as many as 40 speakers along the border, broadcasting anti-Seoul propaganda night and day, but they were taken down after the first summit between President Moon Jae-in and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in April 2018.

This new move follows the announcement that the Pyongyang government was preparing 3,000 balloons to carry the leaflets across the border, along with cigarette butts, human hair and other rubbish.The leaflets criticise President Moon for dining on luxury dishes at a Pyongyang summit but failing to deliver on promises he made.“The largest-ever distribution of leaflets against the enemy are almost complete,” the North’s official Korean Central News Agency reported, adding that 2 million leaflets.
