Workers paid the “Real” Living Wage will be £1,500 a year better off than employees on the Government's legal minimum under a shake-up announced today.
The lowest paid staff working at businesses accredited with the Living Wage Foundation will have their hourly rates raised from £9.30 to £9.50 from today.

More than 250,000 workers, including carers, cleaners, security guards and shop staff, at nearly 7,000 firms will benefit. Union leaders said the hike would be particularly welcome as the country is gripped by the coronavirus second wave.
