The Government is promising to help hundreds of thousands of jobseekers with a new employment programme, targeting those left without work because of the virus crisis.

Job Entry Targeted Support (JETS), backed by a £238 million investment, is available for people who have been out of work for three months or more.

A range of new services are on offer, including specialist advice on how to move into growing sectors, as well as CV and interview coaching, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) said.

An additional 13,500 work coaches are being recruited to help deliver the programme - doubling the total number to 27,000 this financial year.
