Communities along the River Tay – Scotland’s longest river - and its tributaries have banded together to raise awareness and protect the natural environment.‘Upstream Battle’ was first launched in response to the huge public concern around marine litter over the last two years and has been proactive in cleaning up and gathering evidence in Glasgow and the Clyde Valley.
Now it’s making progress in Perth and Kinross following new research findings conducted on people in the Tayside area which show that over 90 per cent of people would like more action to be taken to prevent litter from getting out to sea.
