Ricky Gervais
Ricky Dene Gervais (born 25 June 1961) is an English stand-up comedian, actor, writer, film producer, director and musician. He is perhaps best known for creating, writing and acting in the British television series The Office (2001–2003). He has won seven BAFTA Awards, five British Comedy Awards, two Emmy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards and the Rose d'Or twice (2006 and 2019), as well as a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination. In 2007, he was placed at No. 11 on Channel 4's 100 Greatest Stand-Ups and at No. 3 on the updated 2010 list. In 2010, he was named on the Time 100 list of the world's most influential people.

Netflix wants Ricky Gervais to do an After Life Christmas special

When it comes to shows, legendary funny-man Ricky Gervais has only ever been known to do two seasons and a special (if we’re lucky).

Think about it. The Office, Extras, Derek… Season two of his hit Netflix series After Life dropped on the streaming service in April and fans were delighted when the comedian signed a £5 million to do season three.

Now, it’s been revealed that After Life could be returning to our screens later this year for a Christmas special. Ricky Gervais who writes, directs and stars in the show is said to be ‘in talks’ with Netflix for a festive episode, and will reportedly meet bosses of the streaming giant later this month.
