The Jambos’ descent to the Championship was confirmed on Monday when the SPFL board ended the Scottish Premiership season early after it was unanimously decided that the 2019/20 season could not be completed.
A second proposal on league reconstruction is due to be submitted by Hearts owner Ann Budge this week, but gaining the required votes in order for it to become reality remains a big ask.
