SPFL chief executive Neil Doncaster has admitted that the Betfred Cup might not be played this season because part-time clubs can't afford to play behind closed doors.The season curtain raiser normally takes place in the middle of July but with no football expected to be played until August, and no fans expected until even later, it seems unlikely that many clubs in the bottom two divisions will be able to field teams.And Doncaster admits that although they plan on having fixtures out soon for the SPFL season 2020/21, the campaign will be even more challenging than the current season that was ended early.The SPFL boss insists they will work closely with the likes of Betfred to discuss their plans for the League Cup, but they are willing to
