Nearly half of parents could keep their children at home despite some schools re-opening today for the first time since lockdown was introduced, a report claims.
Primary schools in England have been told to reopen to pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 this week. Nurseries are also expected to resume sessions.
But, a report claims headteachers are expecting around 46 percent of kids to be kept at home due to coronavirus fears. More than one in five teachers will be forced to work from home due to health conditions, their age or having vulnerable family members prompting fears over staff and schools’ ability to provide the same level of teaching quality.
