The National Theatre is going to continue bringing the stage to the small screen and stream big-name productions on YouTube over the next four weeks.
As a result of theatres across the UK closing their doors due to the coronavirus pandemic, the publicly-funded arts group has launched a new National Theatre at Home initiative.
Every Thursday at 7pm a new production will air and viewers can watch it for free on YouTube for up to seven days - right up until the next production is released.
The current screening is a National Theatre Live (NT Live) broadcast of Simon Godwin’s sell-out production of Shakespeare’s Antony & Cleopatra featuring Ralph Fiennes (Harry Potter, The English Patient) and Sophie Okonedo (The Hollow Crown, Mrs Mandela)
