The space agency will only use the official scientific terms for the galaxies and nebulae as part of its review.It has said it will stop using terms such as "Eskimo" and "Siamese" to describe cosmic objects as part of its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.Some people consider Eskimo offensive because they believe to mean "eaters of raw meat" in Algonquian languages common to people along the Atlantic coast.But another accepted origin of the word is that it comes from a term meaning "snowshoe-netter" or "to net shoes"."Siamese" is a term for people from Thailand and is widely associated with conjoined twins after it.
