As of late, we've used the humble pie maker to make anything from shepherd pies to pizzas - and now one genius mum has shared a food hack to make apple pies.

No - she's not using the pie maker - which would still be delicious - but a sausage roll maker from Kmart. Why is this so legendary?

It is shaped the same way as a McDonald's Apple Pie dessert. Taking to Facebook group, Kmart Pie Maker Recipes, Tips and Ideas Australia, one woman said she used four simple ingredients. "This was just a tin of Pie apples (from Woolworths), Sultanas and cinnamon and a bit of sugar to taste," she wrote. "Cooked for about 12mins." The method is simple - she mixed the four ingredients and placed them in a bowl.
