During the cost of living crisis, many homeowners are looking for ways to save money when it comes to their home improvements.
A mum, who has a passion for DIY and interior design, has now revealed how she renovated her dull bathroom for less than £30.
Abi Hugo, 32, revamped her bathroom in just 24 hours by turning her pre-loved furniture into bespoke pieces. The money-saving mum started sharing her love of interiors on her Instagram page in 2018 and has now amassed 111,000 followers.

READ MORE: eBay shopper shares genius £14 item she used to completely transform her kitchen floor “This transformation was definitely up there as it made a massive difference to the room that I just felt was very boring and not very pleasant to start with," Abi told Leader Doors . “The whole transformation only took 24 hours because when I get hooked on an idea and I see it in my head I just have to get it done. "It just started with me painting the radiator, and seeing how it goes, and then one thing led to another and I didn’t go to bed till like 2am in the morning." Abi is all for a bargain and is always thinking of new and cheap ways to bring new life to old things. “The renovation was basically free as I used leftover stuff from the other rooms that I upcycled in my house, so that includes leftover wood and paint," she said. " I was able to use leftover paint rather than going out and buying a new tin.
