A heartbroken mother whose 14-year old boy was killed in a crash caused by a lorry driver checking his phone says the loss has "ripped her apart".
James Majury, 33, was using his phone in the moments before he ploughed his 19.2 tonne Mercedes lorry into the back of a school minibus at 56mph on the M58.
Joe Cairns and his teaching assistant Anne Kerr, 50, died in the horrific crash and five other people, including three other boys and the driver of the Vauxhall Vivaro mini bus, which was stationary in heavy traffic were seriously injured.
Majury was jailed for almost nine years today, before Stephanie Cairns condemned his "utterly mindless and selfish" driving.
