An Instagram star has sparked fury by sharing a throwback photo of herself with her stepson when he was just seven-years-old.

Marina Balmasheva, 35, from Krasnodar Krai in Russia, has divorced her 45-year-old husband of 10 years Alexey Shavirin and run off with his 20-year-old son Vladimir.

However, an attempt by Marina to win herself some sympathy has backfired after she shared a “then and now” photograph of herself with her younger lover featuring a photo of him as a child.

The image shows Marina with Vladimir aged just seven, and an up to date snap of the pair getting cosy. Sharing the image with her 417,000 followers, Marina tried to defend their romance, stating there were “two sides to the story: mine and not mine.
