The Scottish Parliament will lose “talented people” unless it becomes more family friendly for MSPs juggling parenthood with the job.
Outgoing former Tory leader Ruth Davidson and Scottish Government minister Aileen Campbell said Holyrood has to adapt. Both said parenthood had a major part to play in their decisions to step down at the next election in 2021.
They spoke out days after another MSP, Wick-based Gail Ross, said Holyrood should consider remote voting and video links for meetings.
