Boss Stephen Robinson dubbed criticism of team morale "rubbish" after Motherwell won their first league game of the season against St Johnstone.
After a disappointing start to the season, Allan Campbell's goal earned a narrow 1-0 win over the Saints today at Fir Park.Despite still sitting bottom of Scottish Premiership on goal difference, Robinson believes the squad will get a huge lift.He told Motherwell TV: "You hear all the rubbish from outside that there is bad morale and people are down; it never was the case"I carry the burden as a manager because I'm desperate to win football matches, but the boys believed in what we were doing."It lifts the belief in themselves.
