Scots pensioner was found following a mammoth nine-hour overnight search involving multiple emergency services. Stephen James, 79, vanished from an address in Balmedie over the weekend after he went for a walk.
He was reported missing on Saturday night and sparked a multi-agency search.The coastguard were contacted in the early hours of Sunday morning to help locate Stephen, with five teams from Stonehaven, Aberdeen, Cruden Bay, Peterhead and Macduff all called out.
The Aberdeen RNLI lifeboats were also launched to inspect the water, along with specialist search teams from Police Scotland.
