alcohol cans in the alleyway outside of his home in Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent. During one particular argument, Curry let his rage get the better of him and hit the victim on the head after failing to get through to him about the rubbish.
The pensioner believed he "had to sort it out himself" and has since been charged with assaulting his neighbour, reports Stoke on Trent Live.
Curry has since pleaded guilty to assault by beating during an appearance at North Staffordshire Justice Centre.Prosecutor Emma Thompson said: "Mr Curry approached the victim and confronted him about alcohol cans being left in the alley between two properties.
The victim stated they were not his cans."Without warning, this defendant raised his walking stick above his head and struck the victim to the right side of the head, causing significant pain, swelling and discomfort."Mr Curry then walked away and returned home.
