ambulance exploded on a residential street in Fife. The incident happened on Monday afternoon in Burntisland, Fife. Luckily the Scottish Ambulance Service crew and patient were not in the vehicle when it went up.
Emergency crews raced to Rossend Terrace at around 1pm this afternoon.The patient transport vehicle was ablaze on the road - it is understood the fire started after a fault developed in the vehicle.Locals described hearing 'explosions' before seeing the ambulance motor engulfed in flames.A patient had just been safely dropped off seconds before the blaze broke out.
