Millions of people who are struggling to keep up with their bills in the wake of a second lockdown could be eligible for a council tax discount, the government has said.
Households and families could see their bills reduced by up to £150 as councils look to support those who fall into 'vulnerable' groups.
The council tax hardship fund, which was first announced in March, is available to working-age people who get council tax support.
The government estimates the fund will support 2.3million people who are unable to keep up with their outgoings due to job and income cuts.
