In a press conference Wednesday afternoon (June 3), Keith Ellison, the attorney general of Minnesota, announced that the remaining three police offers involved in George Floyd's unlawful death would be charged with aiding and abetting murder.
Meanwhile, the previously arrested officer Derek Chauvin, who knelt on Floyd's neck for nearly nine minutes before he died of asphyxiation, received an upgraded charge of second-degree murder.
Artists took to social media to not only rejoice for the justice served in Floyd's case but took it a step further and encouraged their fans to vote in local and national elections, as well as fight for the same justice to be served for Breonna Taylor, a Black woman who was shot eight times by police officers
