Formula 1 next season. The son of racing legend Michael suffered a nasty collision during Sakhir Grand Prix qualifying on Friday, with Roy Nissany’s car mounting on top of him.
He is said to have escaped without injuries from the incident, just a week after Romain Grosjean’s near-death F1 crash at the same track which sent shockwaves rippling through the sport.
Schumacher, 21, was understandably fuming and could be heard saying on Prema Racing’s team radio: “Why is this guy crashing into me?” The youngster is set to follow in his father’s iconic footsteps and drive for Haas in F1 next season, having recently put pen to paper on a multi-year deal to race with the American outfit.
