Romain Grosjean will miss the final race of the season and his Formula 1 career appears to be all but over. The Frenchman, 34, has not returned to the grid since his horrifying crash on the first lap of the Bahrain Grand Prix last month.
Grosjean's Haas car smashed into the barriers at 140 miles per hour and burst into flames, but he miraculously walked away from the incident and was taken to hospital with minor burns on his hands.
Two races remain on the 2020 Formula 1 calendar, with Sunday's Sakhir Grand Prix followed by next weekend's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Grosjean is leaving Haas at the end of the season and hoped to end his career with an appearance at the Yas Marina Circuit in the UAE.
