Romain Grosjean wants to compete in Formula One's final race of the season in Abu Dhabi as he continues to recover from his horror fireball crash.
The Haas driver, 34, will spend a third night in hospital with the burn injuries he sustained when his car burst into flames at the Bahrain Grand Prix on Sunday.
The Frenchman has already been ruled out of this weekend's Sakhir Grand Prix but is determined to recover in time for the season-ending Abu Dhabi showdown a week on Sunday.
Grosjean's contract with Haas expires at the end of the season and he is expected to call time on his 10-year F1 career, with few seats remaining for the 2021 campaign.
