Arsenal star Mesut Ozil has admitted he does not understand Mikel Arteta’s treatment since Premier League football was resumed.
The club’s most expensive star – on £350,000-a-week – failed to play a minute of football for the Gunners since Covid-19 lockdown was lifted.
It has led to rumours of a fallout between the German and his manager, having made 23 appearances previously. And Ozil has now spoken out about the situation, admitting he is unsure why Arteta did not play him at the end of the campaign.
