McDonald's has finally spoken out on plans to bring back its full menu after scrapping breakfast and dozens more popular items last month.

The chain's boss said breakfast could return "within a few weeks" if the latest trial of reopenings goes to plan. It comes after thousands of people flocked to restaurants across the UK last week, with one branch forced to close due to huge demand.

McDonald's has now reopened 923 more branches, allowing members to pick up orders via drive-thrus, Just Eat and Uber Eats. The chain began reopening its restaurants for deliveries and drive-thrus on May 20 after temporarily closing all 1,350 restaurants on March 23 due to coronavirus lockdown.
