McDonald's fans across the UK could be left disappointed today, as the iconic McMuffin returns to the menu - but only at selected restaurants.

The fast-food giant is set to reinstate breakfast at 1,301 branches across the UK and Ireland, though 28 stores will miss out.

A McDonald's spokeswoman told Mirror Money: "We have seen such a brilliant reaction to breakfast in the first 42 restaurants, the return of the McMuffin is proving incredibly popular. "We are therefore delighted to confirm that over 1,250 restaurants will add breakfast to the menu from tomorrow." The company said the latest trial will see the return of the McMuffin, however bagels, wraps and porridge will continue to be off the menu. "Our menu will still be limited, we will
