Join thousands of others who have signed up for the Daily Record newsletter.A couple have warned bike owners to be vigilant after callous thieves broke into their cellar and stole mountain bikes.Jean McInnes and her husband Steven were horrified to find crooks had smashed open the cellar at their flat in Avon Drive in the middle of the night and made off with both their bikes.The couple, who have lived at their flat for 17 years, say they were disheartened to find they had been targeted in what Jean says is a “plague” of bike thefts across Renfrewshire.Jean, 48, is now warning other cyclists to take care as she believes they were targeted by crooks who knew they had bikes - as no other valuables were stolen from them or any of their.
