Simon Phillip Cowell (born 7 October 1959) is an English television personality, businessman and record executive. He has judged on the British television talent competition series Pop Idol (2001–2003), The X Factor (2004–2010, 2014–present) and Britain's Got Talent (2007–present), and the American television talent competition series American Idol (2002–2010), The X Factor (2011–2013), and America's Got Talent (2016–present). Cowell is the principal, founder and chief executive of the British entertainment company Syco.

McDonald's addresses claims that fast food outlets will reopen next week

Since the UK went into lockdown, fast food lovers have suffered some serious blows. First, McDonald’s switched to delivery-only to prevent the spread of coronavirus between customers.

Then, it closed entirely and delayed the start of the annual McDonald’s Monopoly game. Burger fans have been cooking up a storm in an effort to recreate their favourite items, but it’s just not quite as good.

On Wednesday, it seemed that our prayers were being answered as the Big Mac behemoth announced it would be reopening on April 6.

Having been shut since March 23 in order to protect its workers from Covid-19, restaurants would have been shut for just over two weeks.
