Martin Lewis warns 2.3m drivers could be facing a £1000 fine if they don't act now

Martin Lewis was back on television on Thursday night and issued an urgent warning for all drivers. In the latest episode of The Martin Lewis Money Show, live from his London home, the consumer champion asked any motorists watching to check the date on their photo card driving licence.

He said: “Driving licenses last for a long time, but the photo is only valid for 10 years and 2.3 million of them are out of date.”Car drivers are advised to renew their photo card licence every 10 years, while bus and lorry drivers must do so every five years.You can check the expiry date by looking at the ‘4b’ number on your driver’s licence.
