when hospitality can reopen outdoors, it is only a provisional date, suject to the Government’s final decision based on what the infection rate is doing nearer the time.And the waiting has a double layer at the moment, because at the same time I am still waiting for the local council to decide on whether they will allow me, temporarily, to rent a sloping patch of grass next to my Oyster & Fish House in Lyme Regis, to instal some outside decking.
Our current outdoor terrace is too small, with social distancing rules, to make it financially viable to reopen on 12 April.It was meant to be discussed by the councillors a few days ago, but there was too much on the agenda.
