Jamie Redknapp has told Manchester United they shouldn’t be considering Wayne Rooney as their next boss. United begin their search for an interim boss this week, with Michael Carrick placed in temporary charge after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked on Sunday.
The club have indicated they’ll be looking to make an appointment until the end of the season, with Rooney suggested by some as an option to take the reins.
The United legend is currently in charge of crisis club Derby County, who look set for relegation from the Championship following a further 12-point deduction, having already been hit with a nine-point penalty for going into administration.
