Manchester United have received the green light to complete a transfer for Sevilla defender Jules Kounde. Kounde has been linked with a move to Old Trafford while Premier League rivals Chelsea have also been credited with an interest.
Thomas Tuchel's side saw a move for the Frenchman break down in the summer because they were not keen on triggering Kounde's £68 million release clause.
Kounde has appeared 13 times for Seville this season and could be an upgrade on United's current centre-back options with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer' side conceding 18 goals across the last three games.
