Manchester United manager having rejected the same position at Chelsea before the arrival of Thomas Tuchel.The German coach, who is currently the Head of Sports and Development at Lokomotiv Moscow after leaving RB Leipzig, has had 14 managerial spells since his first back in 1983.The 63-year-old has managed 652 fixtures since joining Reutlingen 05 back in 1995, an average of 72 matches in each of his subsequent nine spells.Those numbers suggest that he isn't keen on short-term appointments, and it might not come as a shock to learn that he rejected the chance to join Chelsea on a temporary deal last season.Rangnick told The Times in February that he took part in detailed talks with Chelsea director Granovskaia and technical and performance.
