Manchester United fans have been left split as Anthony Martial returned at Old Trafford. Martial was accused by Ralf Rangnick of refusing to join the matchday squad when the Red Devils travelled to Aston Villa last Saturday.

The Frenchman then went onto social media to refute the claims by his interim boss. Rangnick's comments led to speculation that Martial would be leaving the club, Newcastle United were among the club's linked with the forward.

However, he returned to Manchester United's bench just seven days later for United's fixture with West Ham. In the latter stages of the game Martial replaced Mason Greenwood as the Red Devils searched for winner.

His return was mixed by the Old Trafford faithful with some fans booing him as he entered the field. Martial seemed to put that reaction behind him though as he was involved in the move which led to Marcus Rashford giving the home side the lead in stoppage time - a goal which won the game for United.
