Last year clubs were allowed to withdraw their players from international squads during the season due to the coronavirus pandemic, but FIFA have now decided that clubs won't have that luxury during this campaign.
That means United could be without Fred, Alex Telles and Edinson Cavani for a time, should they be called up to the Brazil and Uruguay squads for the September internationals.
