Manchester United have reportedly made contact with Thiago Alcantara's representatives over a proposed move for the Bayern Munich star.The Spaniard has been linked with United’s bitter rivals Liverpool for most of the summer but the Reds have stalled in their efforts.Jurgen Klopp’s side have so far refused to meet Bayern’s relatively low £27million asking price for the midfielder, who only has one year left on his contract.And, according to German publication Bild, the Red Devils could try and hijack Liverpool’s efforts to sign Thiago.The report claims that United have contacted the former Barcelona star’s advisors about a possible move, but say that a bid has not yet been made.The 29-year-old informed the Bundesliga giants before the end.
