Manchester United should be questioning why they allowed Romelu Lukaku to leave the club following his impressive season at Inter Milan.
That’s the verdict of former Red Devils midfielder Paul Ince, who believes the Belgian has looked a different player under Antonio Conte this term.
Lukaku bagged 34 goals in his debut season at Inter, with his opening strike in their 3-2 Europa League final defeat against Sevilla meaning he has matched Brazil legend Ronaldo’s record tally for the Italian club in 1997/98.
He sealed a £72million switch to the San Siro last summer after being deemed surplus to requirements by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at United, having scored just 15 goals in the 2018/19 campaign.And Ince thinks questions should be asked about.
