straight to your inbox Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Ince has questioned his old club’s decision to sell striker Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan last summer.
Lukaku moved to the San Siro in 2019 and scored 34 goals in his debut season with Inter.The Belgian’s opening goal against Sevilla in the Europa League final on Friday saw him match Ronaldo’s record for the most number of goals scored in a debut season for Inter, set during the 1997/98 season.As well as that, the goal extended his scoring streak in Europa League matches to 11 successive games.
In Lukaku’s last season for United, he scored 15 goals for the club before being deemed surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.
