Man 'upset' about coronavirus said 'I have to do this' as he shot girlfriend

dailystar.co.ukA man who was distraught about the coronavirus pandemic and losing his job shot his girlfriend, before killing himself. “I already talked to God and I have to do this” – these were the chilling last words of Roderick Bliss IV, reports the New York Post.
The 38-year-old, who was found by cops unresponsive with a pistol in his hand, shot his longterm girlfriend in the back as she fled.
Bliss had becoming increasingly disheartened and upset about the pandemic, said a police report. Cops arrived to North 17th Street in Wilson where the incident occurred on Monday afternoon after reports of shots fired.
The 43-year-old victim, who has not been named, was rushed to St. Luke’s University Hospital in Fountain Hill, she is expected to survive
