Firefighters used specialist equipment to free a woman from a vehicles following the incident on Park Road, in Glodwick, on Saturday afternoon (August 29).
Meanwhile, a man was helped by medics from North West Ambulance Service. Two cars were involved in the collision, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said.
Pictures taken on Park Road on Saturday (August 28) show firefighters working at the scene at around 4.30pm. A cordon was in place across the road for several hours.
