But success in Europe has proved beyond the Blues in Pep Guardiola, with final heartbreak in Porto back in May having finally made it through the knockout rounds.
City have tied Ederson to a new contract that keeps him in Manchester until 2026, which would mean nine years at the club if it is fulfilled.
