A thug who led police on a dramatic 70mph chase in a flat bed lorry has been jailed - and may now face deportation. Andrius Macianskas, 39, hurtled down city streets at more than double their speed limit in the 20-minute pursuit.
A court heard the lorry, which had stolen number plates, even swerved across lanes of the M62 in desperate attempt to escape police.
But Hull Live reports Macianskas was eventually snagged and was yesterday jailed for two years and two months. In addition to dangerous driving and driving without insurance, Macianskas also admitted handling stolen goods and possession of a bladed article, the latter in relation to a separate incident one month the police chase.
