dailystar.co.ukA man has been arrested after allegedly trying to crash into pedestrians and kidnapping a woman at gunpoint. Police were called to reports a man was trying to run people over on Tawton Avenue, in Hattersley, Hyde, Greater Manchester, last night.
Emergency crews were scrambled around 8.40pm. It was then repoted the driver – thought to be armed – had kidnapped a woman. Greater Manchester Police confirmed in a statement: "Police were called at around 8.40pm on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 to reports of a man in a car trying to run people over on Tawton Avenue in the Hattersley area of Hyde.
