Manchester City could end up facing a two week turnaround between the end of this season and the start of the next, if they reach the Champions League final.

The final was originally set to be played on May 30 but was tentatively moved to the end of August after the suspension of the competition and the domestic leagues across the continent.

Pep Guardiola's side have a 2-1 lead over Real Madrid with the second-leg of their round of 16 tie still to play and will be confident of progressing.

But with the current Premier League season will resume in mid-June with September 12 pencilled in as the start date for the 2020-21 campaign, City could find themselves lacking in recuperation time.
