Man dies in hit and run on A85 after being found by roadside

dailyrecord.co.ukA man has died after a hit and run as Scots detectives appeal for information. The incident occurred on the A85 at Kirkton near Taynuilt at around 1am on Sunday October 10.Emergency services attended after responding to reports of a man found injured on the roadside.The unnamed 61-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene and his family have been notified.
The area currently remains closed to traffic and a diversion is in place as Police Scotland conduct enquiries. Initial enquiries by officers have indicated that the vehicle involved in the hit and run may have sustained damage.It is not yet known whether the vehicle was travelling towards Oban or Crianlarich or possibly even further afield.
