The Nigerian international has 55 goals and 33 assists in 145 senior appearances for the likes of Almeria, Roma, Rangers and Partizan.
He also has four goals in six caps for Nigeria. That form has alerted the likes of Spartak Moscow and Eintracht Frankfurt, AS report, and now apparently City are entering the race.
They say that City would sign the 24-year-old as a City Football Group signing, loaning him out to newly-promoted Troyes in France.
