Police officers rushed to the Sale Metrolink stop in Kingston Drive at around 9pm on Wednesday, April 14, to a report of a stabbing.
As emergency services arrived, a 16-year-old boy was found to have suffered cuts to his face, neck, and body following an altercation with three young men who ran from the scene.
He remains in hospital in a stable condition with life-changing injuries. Detectives say the victim suffered 'really nasty wounds'.
