A man has been arrested after a 'targeted and reckless' shooting in north Manchester. Officers responded to reports of the suspected shooting on Rochdale Road in Harpurhey at around 11.20pm on Sunday night.
Police said shots are believed to have been fired at a property. No injuries were reported. A 30-year-old man has now been arrested in connection with the 'targeted' attack, police said today. Yesterday, a stretch of Fernclough Road was cordoned off by police while Tactical Aid Unit officers carried out investigations with sniffer dogs also used.
Patrols were also stepped up in the area. Harpurhey councillor, Pat Karney, reacted with 'alarm' at the incident, which he said deeply worried local residents.
